The bar chart given by US Bureau of Labor Statistics reflects the unemployment rate in 2010 among people with different
educational
backgrounds. From these statistics, it can be seen that the higher degree one possesses, the less likely he is to be unemployed.
Generally speaking, two factors have contributed to this phenomenon. For one thing, the technology and the adjustment of industrial structure lead to a dramatic demand of workforces with high educational degrees. Therefore, it is natural for people with higher educational degrees to enjoy a steadier and better-paying job. For another, those with lower educational degrees tend to be dismissed and substituted more frequently because their jobs which usually feature low technologies can be done by anybody.
As far as I am concerned, education is indeed a worthy investment. First, as individuals, we should attach great importance to education. Second, the government and authorities should adopt relevant measures to ensure the equity of education. Only in this way can we get the tickets to a much more comfortable life.

“减负”后感
现在的学生负担太大了!甚至连我都玩不了(liao)了(le)。我们本来应该有很好的学习时间和玩耍时间。可是家长和老师,却改变了我们的生活规律。怎样才能把负担减小呢?
我觉得应该给老师提出一些建议。
比如,“家庭作业”。现在有一些学生的负担就是“家庭作业”。作业被分为两类,一是“课堂作业”,有的学生就是拖拖拉拉,非要把课堂作业拖到下午放学,一看老师没有注意,就偷跑回家。有的还好,回家写完了,第二天大不了就被批评几句。可是有的更厉害,回家不写,就知道玩,第二天就是挨打,不厉害了,就是用书敲几下脑袋,厉害了,就是用尺子打几十下手。二是“家庭作业”。有的学生就是不想写“家庭作业”,第二天如果被老师发现,那麻烦可就大了。不是留在学校补,就是回家把家长叫来。有的学生遇到不了挫折,觉得作业又多,又难做,就自杀了。老师,您们能给我们放松一下吗? 我建议,回家作业布置少一些,最好布置一些与探索有关的作业,不但有趣,而且好做。这样的话,就没有学生不做作业了! 我代替全西安市的中小学生呼吁:“老师,减少我们的负担吧!

谈“减负”
“减负”即减轻中小学生课业负担过重的问题。这个问题喊了多年了,做为一名学生家长,我始终很困惑。
中小学生课业负担过重,书包沉,这几年是有目共睹的,家长感同身受。每天做完作业,家长检查辅导完已经九、十点,甚至十一点。孩子也困了,睡意袭来,只能睡觉,家长如释重负。如此这样,日复一日,年复一年。我常感叹现在孩子读课外书的时间几乎太少了,即使家长有这个念头,看看孩子的辛苦也就打消了。
是有必要减轻中小学生课业负担,我也很赞同,可也很担忧。课业负担减轻了,是否意味着学习不扎实,学习成绩有可能下降?考试成绩下降了,老师难堪,家长也难受。基础教育就得夯实基础,基础打不好,怎么建上层?
减轻学生课业负担,要说也很简单,尤其在我们国家,一纸行政命令即可。无非是老师少布置一些作业,不重要的课可以不重视,可终究怎么办?孩子还得面对中考,在以考试为选拔人才和进入好学校的制度背景下,成绩尤其显得重要,而要提高学习成绩,又似乎跟减负有些矛盾,家长也很困惑。
我个人感觉,要减轻学生负担过重的问题,应先从课改和应试教育制度上探索改革。再提减负问题,这是一个系统工程。不从这两个方面着手,减负似乎意义不大,甚至倒退。最终导致学校负担减轻了,家长、社会负担加大了,家长为应对考试,不得不去参加各种补习班,
甚至奥数班,学生负担没减反而加重了。
改革开放总设计师邓小平说的好:教育要面向世界、面向未来,面向现代化。我们期待着更为科学的减负方案,学生负担减轻了,成绩提高了,家长、老师负担也轻了,何乐而不为呢?
