Good morning everybody, I am glad to stand here to make this speech. I guess everybody in this world has a beautiful dream about the future. Maybe you want to be a millionaire，maybe you want to be a doctor or to marry a pretty girl or something else. Among these various dreams, my dream is just to be a teacher in the coming future. I have said so many times that I think “teacher” is the most beautiful noun in the world. When I was a little girl, teachers were the most respectable people in my heart, and I determined to be a teacher at that time.
But it’s not so easy to be a good teacher. First of all, you must have rich knowledge. This is the basic factor of being a teacher. Without knowledge, how could you teach students? Without knowledge, you could do nothing when you stand on the platform. What’s more, a teacher’s basic job is to pass on knowledge. That is to say, if you could not do this job well, you can do nothing well in teaching. So I have studied very hard to enrich my professional knowledge and I believed in myself that I will be qualified in this manner.
Secondly, a teacher should be full of love and care. Like doctors must be kind to their patients, teachers must treat their students with loving and caring. Only in this way could you be friends with your students and could you get along well with your colleagues. This is a kind of one’s characters. Maybe it’s easy to enrich one’s professional knowledge, but difficult to change his personality. So we must try our best to become patient and caring.
Last but not least, a teacher must have his own style. No one can be
the same and enjoy the same way in teaching. As a good teacher, you should develop your own way to attract student and to let most pupils love you. As to me, I’d like to be a humorous teacher. I have studied that most female teachers are gentle and soft even serious. This is a way to teach and may give the students a deep impression: teachers are teachers and cannot make friends with. And my friends around me always said that I am a humorous person. So I decide to be a humorous teacher and be friends with my students. Is it not wonderful?
