Besides, the beautiful language and wonderful descriptions in the book take me into a magical world. It also encourages me to overcome any difficulty I meet in my life. I am infatuated with reading books. Since I was a boy, I have read quite a number of novels, dramas, short stories and poems. Some books such as magazines merely give enjoyment while others leave a deeper impression on my mind. Some books have infused the spirit of nationalism in the reader. Nevertheless, I have not come across a single book so far, which is as good as My Life.
The author of this great autobiography is Bill Clinton, the former president of America. Every Chinese born in 1980s has read or heard some particular stories of him. His legendary political career and especially the infamous sexual scandal has been narrated in this book in a genuine way. The language, as far as I am concerned, is so authentic that it may give readers the impression that the president is sitting beside. There is no denying that people still have complicated or mixed feelings on Bill Clinton, his incredible wisdom and perfect manners attracted me for a long time. In a world filled with utilitarianism, he came on the earth in the form of a human being to relieve the ones who feel despair towards life that, nothing cannot be accomplished and no difficulties cannot be conquered.
As all the politicians' memoirs, the chapters introduced the childhood of Bill Clinton seemed most appealing to me — I have to admit that the later chapters concerned his politics career was torturing periodically. Bill Clinton illustrated his bitter and sweet childhood in Hope Town, Arkansas with only 69 pages of 6 chapters. However, a remarkable portion of his charm was from his character of loneliness, which was originated from those years. Charming as he is, it seems that Bill Clinton treated his sottish and crude stepfather, Roger Clinton in the most mild and even a sympathetic way. I insist that this section has a tremendous impact on me since in the contemporary world, children always hold the biased opinion that they do not gain enough from their parents, yet very few of them have ever thought about whether they have done anything worth the love or sacrifice of their parents. "Always live with a heart of thanks giving", this line has become my motto since I finished reading My Life.
Every person knows Bill Clinton as the one of the most successful presidents in American history, but quite a few really understand how he climbed up to the peak and won the reappointment. Bill Clinton was born in an ordinary family of America — his mother worked as a nurse and his father died three months before his birth. At last, Bill Clinton managed to graduate from the law faculty of Yale University, become the youngest governor of state and American president, found his own family with the most intelligent wife… In my point of view, the key element of all is the perfect option that he decided to go to George Town University but not University of Arkansas. Bill Clinton might indulge in love affairs or American football if he did not step towards the right direction. In fact, due to the massive amount of time spent on masterpieces of Hegel, Kant and Schumpeter etc, Bill Clinton soon acquired the opportunity of working for the senator. Chance always exists with choice, we either seize it or miss it. Probably a pair of completely different results just depends on the choice we ever made or we are making.{my,favorit,book}.
The political wisdom of the book is fascinating as well. Even today American people aspire to recover the economy to what it used to be in 1990s . Furthermore, how the notorious politician involved in a sexual scandal delivered himself out becomes a classical case of public relations.{my,favorit,book}.
One book may be good from just one point of view. My Life is the book which is good in numerous ways: tolerance, thanks giving, choice making, wisdom and so on. In addition, I have not been aware that this autobiography has witnessed my growing up until I wrote down the above.
