Project Hope
Projet Hope is also the name of a world organisation. Project Hope has worked all around the world since 1989. And it has built schools all over China. People in China and abroad have given 2.2 billion yuan. With this money Project Hope has trained teachers and send students to high schools.
But 40 millions of children from poor families still need help. Because of Project Hope, thousands of children have better lives.
I am going to send money to children in Sichuan Province. Because I’m also one of students in China.

我要寄钱给在四川省儿童。因为我也是在中国的学生之一。
Education is the key to the modernizations of our country. The extent to which children are educated is directly of vital importance to the improvement of our comprehensive national power. However, in some poverty-stricken rural areas, few school-agers can afford to go to school because of lack of financial support. Therefore, the CYDF (China Youth Development Foundation) is determined to carry on a financial plan to prevent them from quiting school, which is called Project Hope.
The Project is of great necessity. As we know, the children are the hope and future of China. Their being deprived of education will not only result in lack of human resources in those backward areasbut also hold back the
economic develop ment of these areas and even the whole country. Moreover,{希望工程作文}.
the Chinese govern ment is not likely to provide a large amount of money for the hundreds of thousands of school dropouts. Therefore, the Project Hope is initiated by CYDF to offer financial assistance for these young stets.
My suggestion is that more people from all walks of life should be
encouraged to finance the Project with their deeper love and stronger sense of responsibility for these children. And I am sure that the Project Hope has been
meeting with hearty and generous response.

In class, our teacher told us something about Project Hope. She said some children in the country couldn‘t go to school because their parents were too poor to send their children to school. She called on us to help out.
After school I returned home. I wasgreatly moved by this. What should I do for Project Hope? I was wondering about this when I saw the money collection box on the table. Then I decided to send my pocket money, which I had saved for nearly one year, to the children who wanted to go to school. I wrote a letter to them and hurried to the post office. 爱心 希望工程
教育在我国的现代化建设中起着非常重要的作用。没有一个拥有良好教育背景的人口，中国将不能够实现既定的经济增长目标、不能赶超发达国家，也不能提高人民的生活水平。然后，根据最近一项数据显示，中国有超过两百万儿童已经辍学，原因是他们的父母太穷，不能支付得起学费。

Education plays a very important role in the modernization of our country. Without a well-educated population, China will not be able to achieve its planned economic growth, catch up with the developed nations technologically or improve its people’s living conditions. Yet, according to recent statistics, there are over two million children in China who have dropped out school because their parents are too poor to pay the fees.
To confront such situation, the Project Hope program is called into existence. At the moment, as our authority is building up the authority has many tasks to perform and cannot afford the funds needed to get all those children back to school. And so Project Hope, a nationwide assistance to poor children to prevent them from being illiterate or ignorant in the future, is of utmost importance and necessity. The project is a timely response to the problem. It is the generosity of the donators that makes an increasing number of children in remote areas finish their study in primary schools, middle schools and even universities.
So far, Hope Project has achieved much in solving educational problems in poverty-stricken areas. However, it is still far from satisfying. There are still good reasons to enhance all people’s awareness that love is like a lamp, which is brighter in darker places: no matter how much you can do for others, so long as everyone contributes his or her bit, there will be no darkness in the world any more. Only in this way can we make our nation stronger in the long run and make our society more harmonious to live in.
