My Favorite Festival
A festival is a special mark of a country’s culture. Among the large amounts of traditional festivals in China, the Spring Festival is my favorite festival. There are different names for each Chinese year. We call it the year of the dog, the year of the pig, the year of the tiger …And the year of 2013 is the year of the snake.
From my point of view, the Spring Festival is full of joyful atmosphere, lighting almost every Chinese people up. Before the day of this festival, people are busy shopping and cleaning their houses. On the Eve, there is a big family dinner, and people usually have dumplings. During this time, the Spring Festival Gala will be live on TV. After dinner, the whole family stay up late to welcome the New Year. When it strikes 0 o’clock, they will set off firecrackers to get rid of the past bad luck. On the first day of the New Year, people put on their new clothes and go to visit their relatives and friends, saying "Happy New Year" and some other greetings to each other. Of course, the right thing the children expect most is to have lots of delicious food and get nice gifts. Hopeful and promising, people can have a good time during the festival.
The Spring Festival bring us too many unforgettable memories, and it has already been a symbol of China. I love this special festival.

我最喜欢的节日my favorite festivalSpring Festival is my favorite among all the Chinese traditional festival. The first reason why I love it the most is because I can get lucky money on that festival. It is the Chinese custom that the old will give children lucky money on Spring Festival to wish a good luck for the young generation. Moreover, people everywhere on those days are full of happiness. Quarrel, fight and abuse are almost disappeared at that time. Meanwhile, my mother will make a big meal for us to celebrate. Everyone will forget the unhappy thing they meet, instead remembering to appreciate life to wish a better future. But I like Mid-Autumn Festival the most. It means harvest, because it is celebrated in the harvest season. And it is the time for famers to express their thanks for harvest. In addtion, it’s the day for reunion. Some people call it Tuanyuanjie. The people work or study far away from home will come back to get-together with their families. They will eat a big meal and mooncake at that time. I hate parting but love reunion.
